Having a notebook or laptop, a writing desk can also serve as a computer support desk. When it comes to offices, computer desks are the backbone furniture. Apart from the com computer desks, there are also writing desks which are excellent office furniture.

Most of these drawers come from mahogany, ebony or cherry woods. An executive desk is stylish and is much bigger than the previous furniture and has different design and finishing, and maybe coupled with lockable drawers. A general computer desk should be able to provide adequate space for computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard. Due to the wide use of computer desks, there are various styles of these furniture some of which hides most of the computer leaving only the user input components while others are open. These have a long width and shorter depth than the normal computer desks but never the less, they can also serve interchangeably. Another office furniture design is the L shaped desks. Writing spaces may include one to two drawers for storage and a hutch to keep the clutter from consuming a lot of space.

Apart from the ones mentioned above, some offices can contain executive desks which are differentiated in their styles and size.
